Honestly singer and now actress Nandi Mngoma has had quite the successful year. She’s grown in her music and has even received recognition for being a trendsetter.
Not so long ago the talented muso shared a few snaps of herself with fellow cast members on set. Nandi later revealed that she will be a lead actress in a new drama series called The Road.
After 10 years of being in the industry the beauts career is certainly on a high.
Nandi took to Instagram once again to share her excitement about her news role, and opened up about how her road to fame began. The Road premieres on the 31st of August, will you be supporting the queen of dance?

What a morning?! Was on set shooting for our exciting new show #TheRoad in Soweto from 6am onwards, and the cutest school kids greeted me! But the sweetest part is that there were so polite and aware that we were working. Their teacher Nolwazi is awesome for reminding me.

Quick story: The day I landed in Jhb as an 18 year old Durbanite moving out of home to pursue my dreams. I got a call from my agent saying I had an audition they wanted me to go to the very same day I landed in Jhb, I still had my bags with, took a cab and rushed to the casting. That’s when I first met talents my age like @AmandaDuPont . We were starry eyed and new to the industry. I did my very first casting in JHB and to my surprise I got the job! I got to work with the Legendary director Teboho Mahlatsi who then had directed Yizo Yizo from Bomb productions. Who would’ve thought that almost 10 years later I would be working with them again! And in between those years I would experience rejection, appreciation and celebration. I say this to many people because it’s true.. No one and nothing can come between your God and the talent you have been blessed with.
