The ruling New Patriotic Party has made changes to its leadership as they are about to swear in the 8th members of Parliament.
The wife of late Mfantseman member of Parliament, Ekow Quansah Hayford is said to have been given a position in the majority leadership in parliament.

The widow, Mrs. Ophelia Mensah Hayford who is now the MP for Mfansteman and Habib Iddrisu, MP for Tolon are now Deputy Chief Whip.
The two chief whips are said to take over from Matthew Nyindom and Moses Anim.
The Member of Parliament for Suame, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has is hinted to remain in his position as Majority Leader.

Following the just-ended election, the current Parliament will be dissolved on 6th January midnight for the new to sworn in.
