Real Goldy Locks: Mexican Rapper Claims to Have Implanted Gold Chains Into His Head

This is my hair. Golden hair. The first rapper to have gold hair implanted in human history, the young musician told his 2 million TikTok followers. “The truth is that I wanted to do something different because I see that everyone dyes their hair. I hope not everyone copies me now.”

The 23-year-old Mexican entertainer explained that the several dozen chains are all implanted into his skull, under the skin, although it’s hard to tell if that is actually the case. There’s no question that the chains look attached to his head in some way, that’s for sure.

“I have it as a hook that is implanted in my head and that hook has hooks and they are all hooked in my skull, under my skin, Dan Sur said in another video.

Dan Sur has apparently been sporting the unique look since April, when he allegedly underwent the extreme procedure. It’ll be interesting to see how it holds up, especially since the chains are reportedly made of gold and some also feature precious stones, as some people might be tempted to just yank them out of the rapper’s head…

Although Dan Sur definitely got the attention he was craving, from a health perspective his choice may not be the most inspired one. According to doctors, the procedure, if real, carries a high risk of infection, as well as permanent scarring or scalp inflammation.

“Implants like this are not safe,” plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Agullo warned. “They introduce an easy path for bacteria between the outside world and the internal body. In this case, the bone covering the brain. In addition, I am concerned about the amount of weight these hooks are supporting. The weight or any accidental tug on a band of gold could cause the implant to dislodge and even fracture the skull.”

Dermatologist Dr. Mona Gohara also said that the procedure could cause permanent hair loss due to folicle damage, and advised people not to copy Dan Sur, and just weave some gold strands into their hair if that’s the kind of look they really want.

Dan Sur’s extreme procedure is reminiscent of that of rapper Lil Uzi Vert who this year shocked the world when he had a pink diamond implanted in his forehead.
