Prominent Nigerian singer and politician, Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W has recounted the hard times he faced while running for his political office and joggling with his wife’s condition during her In Vitro Fertilization(IVF).

Speaking in an interview on the #WithChude segment, the celebrated singer intimated that his wife was subjected to physical pains and torture while she was undergoing her IVF in their quest to have their own child.

Banky W revealed that while his wife was going through so much distress and discomfort, he was also busy attending to his duties and ventures while he was running for a political office, hence he was unable to spend some quality time with his wife during her woes.

“As a man running for office, the one thing I didn’t have was quality time and that was the one thing I needed when my wife was going through all of that, it’s just time to be there but I was being pulled in a million directions and everybody is just taking from you whether it is the community or family and it felt like I was being emptied on a daily basis”, he said.

However, Banky W revealed that despite the pain and the effort they made during his wife’s IVF process, they lost their twins and they had to go through the whole process again.

Banky W said that the situation put the relationship between him and his wife through tough times but he is glad to have her as a wife.
