With the nomination announcements for the annual awards ceremony just a few weeks away on July 12, Stranger Things fans are working overdrive online to ensure Sadie gets the recognition she deserves.
“Sobbed through the end of “dear billy” twice now, genuinely some of the best television I’ve ever seen. sadie sink’s emmy campaign starts right now #StrangerThings,” one person wrote.
Another added: “They better start campaigning for a Sadie Sink Emmy.”
A third said: “Dear Billy” is easily the best #StrangerThings episode. Give Sadie Sink an Emmy right f***ing now.”
“Sadie Sinks performance in Dear Billy was Emmy Worthy #Sadie Sink #StrangerThings #strangerthingsseason4,” a fourth added.
Stranger Things has undoubtedly been a fan favourite since it hit streaming service Netflix years earlier. David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown have both been nominated for Emmys for their role in the sci-fi show but did not win.
Maybe Sadie is the way into award-season acclaim to show just how talented the young cast of Stranger Things truly is? Please make this happen!
Meanwhile, we are closing in on more Stranger Things mayhem, with S4 Vol.2 dropping on July 1.
In the full-length trailer released earlier this week by Netflix, Dr. Brenner tells Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) that she and her friends will not be able to save the city of Hawkins.
We also see Nancy (Natalia Dyer) coming face to face with Vecna in the Hawkins Lab, while in a Russian Lab, Hopper, Joyce, and Murray face the threat of the dreaded Shadow Monster.
With all these monsters ready to cause mass destruction, the trailer sees the gang coming together to (hopefully) put an end to the misery in Hawkins. We cannot wait!
