Dorcas Serem, a lecturer of fashion and design at the University of Eldoret where the late Edwin Kiprotich Kiptoo alias Chiloba was a student spoke on Tuesday during his burial alleging what he ( Chiloba) was to do in this month.
As relayed by a publication done by Wednesday’s People Daily, Edwin Chiloba was to hand over his course projects later this month.
Serem described Chiloba as a Christian who dedicated all his time to fashion and design studies. She however called on responsible department to seek justice for his student.
” I didn’t believe he was dead until i saw the shirt he was wearing. it is the shirt which was to be exhibited at a later date”, she said.
Besides Serem, the head of the fashion and design department at the University of Eldoret ( UOE) Florence Wamunga as well lauded Chiloba for his passion for modeling.
” He was very passionate about fashion and design. He sent all of us end-year messages, little did we know that it was the last we would hear from him”, she said.
It should be noted that Chiloba’s mutilated body was found in a metal box by a Boda Boda rider who claimed to have seen a car dropping the box and driving away faster.
The prime suspect in Chiloba’s case will continue to be barred alongside the other four who are linked with the brutal killing of fashionista and LGBTQ activist Edwin Kiprotich Kiptoo alias Chiloba.
