Governor of Bomet, during the course of Thursday, visited Cynthia at Tenwek Mission Hospital. This followed an appeal that had been widely circulated in various social media platforms by close friends and family members of Cynthia. According to one of the appeal seen by this author, ,Cynthia graduated in 2022 but fell ill early this year and was admitted in ICU battling for her life.
The family had appealed for support to clear medical bills and also to buy required medication. Today they got a breakthrough after Bomet Governor intervened.
Dr Barchok promised to monitor Cynthia’s progress at a personal level.
“On a personal level, I am monitoring her situation closely and will be consulting all the concerned parties particularly on availing the drugs she needs even as she recuperates under the watchful eyes of her doctors in Tenwek Hospital” Dr Barchok said.
He further promised to stand with the family in solidarity even as he called for concerted effort among all the leaders given the huge costs of medication involved in her treatment.
