Kericho Governor, County MPs and UDA leadership attend DP Gachagua-led Kericho MCAs unity meeting

Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has today met Kericho county assembly legislators at his Harambee Annex office for a reconciliation meeting of the assembly leadership wrangles.

” Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua chairs Kericho county leadership reconciliation meeting at Harambee House annex” reported Emoo FM.

Through photos shared by local Emoo FM on its official Facebook page, several elected leaders from the county accompanied the county assembly members in meeting the second in command.

Kericho Governor Erick Mutai, Kericho senator who doubles as senate majority leader Aaron Cheruyoit and Kericho women representative Beatrice Kemei attended the unity meeting at Harambee Annex office.

Nominated senator who doubles as UDA party national secretary general Veronica Maina was also present in the meeting.

Today’s meeting comes days after president William Ruto bashed the county assembly members for fighting on leadership positions instead if serving their electorates.

Speaking in Bomet county last week, the head of state urged the county legislators to focus on service delivery instead of leadership positions wrangles.

” Kericho MCAs must stop the nonsense. Shame on you! The people of Kenya voted for us to implement development projects and not to fight over positions” said president William Ruto.
