Cabinet Secretary for Defence today January 23rd 2023 presided over the opening of an ultra-modern Young Muslims Girls Secondary School in North Eastern town. This is inline with the government goals to have high percentage of women educated. The ceremony was attended Mzee Sheikh Moti ,who has been a vocal champion for Muslim community education. The school is expected to have it’s first batch of students next month, February 2023. Aden Duale through a post he made on his social media page ,thanked donors and well wishers who contributed for success of creation of the school.
The cabinet Secretary additional revealed that the school will increase level of education for the empowerment of North Eastern region. This will make it easy for the region to be accessed and end three vices affecting the region; first ,teachers shortages, early childhood marriages, and insecurity in the rural areas. As more people get education they are able to change archaic cultures that pull them behind.
