Just before announcing the KCSE 2022 results, Education Cabinet Minister Ezekiel Machogu has assured Kenyans that his ministry has put various mechanisms in place to deal with fraud.
But the experts’ analysis raises questions about the achievement gaps some schools have.
According to reliable sources, most schools show abnormal GPA in KCSE results, while others show rapid improvement in school mean score.
Experts say that average high school scores cannot increase significantly during this period of study.
They further added that it is not normal for schools to post an improvement of more than one point but some schools recorded a deviation of even four in their mean score.
According to The Star, there is a lot of cheating in this exam. Their investigation showed that teachers, examiners and computer experts worked together to make it easier to cheat on exams.https://www.facebook.com/224865787558662/posts/pfbid02efwjEWqJouAj9XN3ht8gvCmJ1GievApgQgzJhN612iyTMEaUEeCBJ1iSKZh1wZgYl/?app=fbl
MPs and experts now want the government to investigate and find out how it happened.
