Seasoned political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has shared his thoughts following the Kamukunji Rally that was staged by former presidential candidate Raila Odinga on Monday.
Ruto and his close allies had on Sunday claimed that the Kamukunji Rally was a plan to blackmail the President into a handshake although Raila was quick to quash those claims.
According to Mutahi Ngunyi, President William Ruto should never fight a man who had nothing to lose and warned the Head of State that hustlers swung like a pendulum.
While taking to his Twitter account, Prof Ngunyi opined that hustlers easily swang to the side that was anti-authority and argued that Ruto would be ill-advised to take the Kamukunji casually.
He further stated that revolutions started in small installments and gradually gain momentum before they erupt into something serious.
It however remains to be seen if the Head of State will be taking Ngunyi’s sentiments with a pinch of salt.
