Government Releases New Crucial Information Concerning Junior Secondary Learning

The Kenyan curriculum will officially transition from the 8-4-4 system to the new CBC curriculum this month. Students who were in class 6 will move direct to the Junior secondary schools which will mark the beginning of the CBC new system of education.

However, the transitioning has been marred with various technical difficulties that have led to uproar with various leaders asking the government to consider halting the transition. The leaders have asked the government to do more research on the changes.

The ministry of Education however, ensured parents and students that they are well prepared to run the CBC. Today, the minisitry has announced that all Junior secondary schools will be based in primary schools until January 2025.

The ministry has announced the arrangements will be reviewed in 2025 so as to gauge the progress. In addition, new bank accounts for the Junior secondary will be opened to avoid a mix up with the primary accounts.
