Micheal Achimugu, a former Aide to the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar has come to defend himself against the claims that he is trying to blackmail his former boss, Atiku Abubakar.
According to Achimugu who appeared in an interview with TVC today, those calling him blackmail for the allegations of corruption he leveled against Atiku are getting it all wrong as he has never demanded anything in return. Achimugu further stated that the information he leaked was to guide Nigerians on who to elect as the future president of the country. In his own words as seen on TVC today…
“It’s more profitable for me to even blackmail Atiku by sending him all of the evidence I have and threatening him, after his daughter Hauwa, to whom he owed money and refused to pay had to threaten and blackmail him to pay her back her money, I am putting that out tonight.”
“It would’ve been better for me to do that and collect whatever Atiku had given to me and the public will be none the wiser. It would’ve been safer for me and my family even, but I didn’t do that. With what I’ve done now, my children are not safe as threats have been made, they’ve visited my house, my parents are not safe, my children are not safe, I knew the implications before I went into that.”
