Former Orlando Pirates captain Happy Jele has officially joined a new premier soccer league Club.
Jele was announced as the new player of the kwazulu-natal aside Royal AM on Friday 3 February.
The player joins the club on a free transfer since he was a free agent following his departure from Pirates before the start of the current season.
Jele will be looking to make the most of his last years of his career as the player is believed to be nearing retirement.
Jele has been without a club since ending his 16-year stint with the Buccaneers after the club decided against renewing his contract at Mayfair.
The player has been training with RAM just few weeks since his departure from the Buccaneers and he was believed to be nearing a deal with the club but the deal could not materialize at that time.
However the player reappeared at the club and he was also spotted at training on Thursday afternoon.
According to reports the player arrived at the club on a transfer deadline day 31 January but there was no information on whether he has signed with the club.
However on Friday morning the kwazulu-natal side confirmed the arrival of the player in their camp.
However the details of his contract are still sketchy at this moment as the club did not confirm how long the player’s contract is with the club.
Jele was offered a non-playing role by the Buccaneers since he is regarded as the club’s Legend after spending more than a decade with the club.
However the veteran Defender refused the non-playing role with claims that he still wanted to play for a few more seasons before he could hang up his boots.
The Veteran defender will be looking to help the kwazulu-natal side to finish inside of the top eight this season.
