Karunga Secondary School In Etago Closed After Only One Student Opened For A New Term
A school in the south Mugirango constituency, Kisii county has been officially closed after the students failed to report back, three weeks after all the schools in Kenya opened for a new term.
According to sources, Karungu secondary school in Etago has been having only one student since January when the school opened. It is a school that has been having 9 TSC teachers
It has been alleged that both the parents and the students decided this after the KCSE results that showed every student performed dismally, results that were released by Ezekiel Machogu three days before the opening of secondary schools.
This has come after many schools in Kisii performed very well which brought out mixed reactions on social media, alleging that the schools in Kisii had a leakage for the exam.
The closure of the school has been confirmed by the secretary general for education in Kisii.
