Kaduna State Citizen Alliance Against Terrorism has called for the arrest and prosecution of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Isa Ashiru, for proposing dialogue with bandits.
Addressing a press conference, chairman of the group, Mock Samuel Kure, urged the people to reject any aspirant with an ulterior motive.
Warning the state against toeing the path of Katsina, Zamfara and Sokoto, whose deals with hoodlums eventually backfired, Kure alleged: “Rather than supporting government’s effort to eliminate them (bandits), he (Kure) is here dialoguing.”
According to him, “Kaduna, like any other northern state, is still nursing bruises of terrorism.”
He went on: “This has adversely affected numerous businesses, as many lives have been killed and others severely injured.
“A few days back, Isa Ashiru Kudan was a guest on Television Continental (TVC), Where he “annoyingly made case for terrorists that are making life unbearable for the populace.”
In a swift reaction, Director, Media of Isa Ashiru Campaign Council, Reuben Buhari, dismissed the allegation as laughable and baseless.
He said: “Both the chairman and the so-called group are unknown entities. They are a clear example of all these mushroom groups that politicians hide behind to spit bile during election time.”
