Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable’s management has claimed that the controversial performer wasn’t detained and that he went to the station on his own.
On Saturday, Portable’s page published an Instagram post letting people know about this. “Remain calm as everything is in control,” the statement said. This is a letter we are sending to anybody who contacts us. He went to the police station on his own to accept their invitation, so he wasn’t detained. “The police are our allies. We have faith and confidence that the police will conduct their inquiries, and everything will be handled properly. We are certain that everything will proceed smoothly because he is with the CP and the problem is being addressed.
“Thanks to everyone who reached out, we have faith that the police will conduct their investigation thoroughly,” it continued. We are confident.
The musician was taken into jail by the authorities on Friday and will be held there till Monday.
