The son of Uganda President Yoweri Museveni, Muhoozi Kainerugaba has said that he will send security officers to protect former President Uhuru Kenyatta days after the attack on his family Northlands farm along Eastern bypass by goons.

In a tweet, General Muhoozi sympathized with the former President, saying that he will take responsibility in as far as his security is concerned.

According to the controversial General, he will send Uganda People’s Defence Forces ( UPDF) to cater for the security of the former President and beat up goons who invaded his farm and cut down trees before stealing livestock of an unknown value.

The comment by Muhoozi will no doubt spark mixed reactions especially among social media users and the political class. In the past, he made some other controversial comments which forced his father, Museveni and Uganda government to respond in a bid to forestall any possibility of diplomatic row with Kenya.

In the past, Muhoozi had threatened to lead the Ugandan troops in the takeover of the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
