According to reports coming from VANGUARD, Osun State Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Ojo has sentenced Dr. Rahman Adedoyin, owner of Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife to death by hanging.
The report has it that the Osun State High Court has found the well-known hotel owner, Dr Ramon Adedoyin culpable in the murder case of Timothy Adegoke, a former master’s degree student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, whose death happened between the 5th and 7th of November 2021, at Hilton Honours Hotel, Ile-Ife.
In the report, Justice Ojo in her continuous judgment let out that the owner of the hotel and two of his workers, based on the situations of the lawsuit established by the prosecuting counsel, Femi Falana, SAN, are found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and unlawful manslaughter of the deceased.
The report claims that the Osun Chief Judge, Adepele Ojo while conveying her judgment on the case, held that the detailed proof available to the court, indicated the killing of Adegoke while being a guest at the hotel owned by Adedoyin.
The report adds that according to her, Adedoyin’s decision not to enter the witness box did not benefit him, as the detailed evidence had changed the burden of proof on him.
